    Denver Early Summer Nights 2018

It’s getting warmer, non-skiing tourists are starting to roll into town and concerts are already selling out months ahead of time. While there’s always something going in the Mile High City, summer is an especially great time for music and it’s not just Red Rocks that draws a crowd.  In fact some of Denver’s smaller venues are more ideally situated for city dwellers or anyone looking to enjoy a nice meal or pregame ahead of time. Here’s a few venues & events we’re looking forward to:

Beta: If you’re into electronic dance music, extreme hi-fi quality sound and a VIP section that isn’t only the best in town but also the best value then Beta is the place. Situated on the borders of Denver’s LoDo & Ballpark neighborhoods Beta offers the true night club experience with sounds being piped through state-of-the-art Funktion One sound system. They also believe in partying responsibly and boast a high green rating, ensuring your fun won’t be at an overly tremendous cost to the environment. Two upcoming shows to look out for are Dj Nu-Mark Saturday, June 30th and Paul Oakenfold Saturday September 9th. If you ever listened to Jurassic 5 then you’ve heard DJ Nu-Mark’s beat layering and scratching. If your memory is failing you here’s a  historic gem found on SoundCloud: Yes, it’s a radio show from 1996…complete with MC Hammer references and all. For tickets:

Ophelia‘s: Labelled as a “Gastro-Brothel” Ophelia’s rides the line between venue, night club and eatery. With an interesting cocktail menu, eclectic décor and a downtown Denver location it’s easy to see why they draw a crowd on a regular basis. Their weekend nights are often booked with 80’s & 90’s throwbacks, however one upcoming show that will bring the nostalgia is Nappy Roots for tickets: While it’s hard to go wrong at Ophelia’s this will be a night to lock in early…they’re known to sell out quick.

Cervante’s Masterpiece: Double venue Cervantes in Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood brings a variety of independent artists and acts from all over the world. This Five Point’s staple stands out as a truly world class venue and community asset. Coming next week you’ll be able to catch a variety show from Orchard Lounge and LTJ Bukem w/ DrFameus (Allen Aucoin of The Disco Biscuits), Blacksmith (Clark Smith of Dynohunter). For tickets:
